Opening Event: Change. Who? How? Why? Through what?
We are happy to open the Sustainability Weeks with three impulses, a panel discussion, poetic contributions and delicious finger food.
We would like to address the questions:
How can change succeed and how can we shape it? What is our role as a university and what can cities contribute to change? How do we manage the paradigm shift?
Inga Thao My Bui also brings poetic impulses from her poetry workshop: Activist Poetry or Poetic Activism.
Afterwards, you can discuss the impulses further over finger food and drinks.
Presenting are:
Jan Kohlmeyer is head of the climate protection department of the state capital Stuttgart. The office coordinates the 200 million euro climate action program of the city of Stuttgart and the 13 million euro Stuttgart Climate Innovation Fund. The Climate Protection Unit is also responsible for managing climate communication.
Kristina Bogner is a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Hohenheim and will start an assistant professorship at the Copernicus Institute for Sustainable Development in September. She is passionate about driving change towards sustainability. Her mission is to promote transformative social innovation and growth of people and to support impactful thinking and behavior. In her research, teaching and transfer, she seeks to promote sustainable development.
Inga Thao My Bui is a climate activist and poet. She has been involved in climate justice with Students for Future for three years and was runner-up in the Rhineland-Palatinate Poetry Slam 2021. When she is not demonstrating in the streets or on stage, she studies Education – Sustainability – Transformation (M.A.) at the HNE Eberswalde.
