Poetry Workshop: Activist Poetry or Poetic Activism with Inga Thao My Bui

Dealing with the climate crisis in the right way is not easy. It’s emotional: despair, anger, fear, hopelessness, powerlessness – these are feelings that often arise when you deal with this issue. What do I do with all these emotions and can I perhaps even achieve something with them? The poetry workshop with Inga Thao My Bui will be all about poetry and activism. What can poems and lyrics do that scientific papers or political speeches can’t? How do you even get started writing lyrics? About the speaker: Inga Thao My Bui is a climate activist and poet. She has been involved in climate justice with Students for Future for three years and was runner-up in the Rhineland-Palatinate Poetry Slam 2021. When she is demonstrating in the streets or on stage, she studies Education – Sustainability – Transformation (M.A.) at the HNE Eberswalde.
